Workshops.
Our Laughter sessions and Laughter Yoga workshops are highly interactive, allowing colleagues to build non-hierarchical, positive relationships. We build bespoke programmes supporting your organisational values and ambitions.
Workshop 1
Introduction to Laughter
We all think we know laughter; when we laugh, who we laugh with and what we laugh at. But the truth is, we don’t. Laughter is an under-researched, impactful behaviour. It has the power to build and bruise relationships and reinforce social norms, and most of the time we are oblivious to it. In this workshop we explore the history and evolution of laugher and what it means to us today, and how we can best optimise its use.
Key outcomes
Understanding laughter as an engagement skill
Improve workplace/customer relationships
Improve self-awareness
Workshop 2
No Laughing Matter
In this workshop we explore how laughter can be misunderstood and sometimes used to negative effect. Workplace banter can be tricky to navigate and may lead to the exclusion of others. By better understanding the power of laughter in relationships, we helps teams to consider how to use it carefully and respectfully. This will improve team performance and wellbeing.
Key outcomes
Understanding the power of laughter
Greater self-awareness
Improved workplace relationships
Developing leadership skills
Workshop 3
Laughing Yoga
These activity-based workshops use laughter yoga exercises and deep breathing to boost workplace wellness and energy levels. No special equipment is required, just a willingness to participate. Laughter Yoga sessions are great for teams and as a regular available activity open to all colleagues.
Like all exercise plans, we recommend that Laughter Yoga sessions are run as programmes to get the optimum benefit. We can train laughter yoga leaders in your organisation making this a sustainable inhouse wellness strategy.
Key outcomes
Reduce stress and feelings of overwhelm
Increase energy levels
Improve team relationships
Build non-hierarchical relationships
“Anna led an excellent session for us at Croydon University Hospital. As a group of trainee doctors we often face tough days and long hours. The laughter lab session helped us all to relax and it was great to take away more knowledge about the importance of laughter in the workplace. Following the session we all felt that we were more aware of our laughter, more able to recognise it and its importance, and to really be present in the moment making us more able to enjoy and embrace it. Thank you so much Anna for a great session! ”
“Loved the workshop. So interesting. Thanks for sharing.”
