Who We Are?
Anna combines a wealth of practical and training experience in healthcare with enthusiasm for and curiosity about how cutting edge scientific evidence can be applied.
Anna has over thirty years’ healthcare experience, working in the NHS, privately and in the charitable sector. As a neurological physiotherapist and clinical teacher of post-graduate physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists, she has an extensive multi-disciplinary working background.
In 1997 Anna established and developed a thriving neurological physiotherapy practice, which she ran for twenty years. She continues to provide support for charities helping people living with disability, and their carers. Improving the delivery and accessibility of healthcare is one of her driving forces. https://kindnessinhealthcare.world/index.php/about/
In 2017, Anna returned to the library to study for her MSc in Positive Psychology, completing her dissertation study on the inoculation effect of laughter. Intrigued, and filled with a passion for taking laughter seriously, she founded Laughter Lab in 2020. She is currently studying for an MSc at the CREATE (Centre for Research in Expertise Acquisition, Training and Excellence) unit at the University of Buckinghamshire, investigating laughter as a primer for creativity.
